Ever feel like you take life too seriously? But remember when we were kids?  We didn't care, we just fully embraced life. Laughing loudly, getting dirty, expressing ourselves in a multitude of ways.  And then, somewhere along the way, we became adults. But what if you could embrace your inner child, like Drew Barrymore recently did?

An article on Newsweek shared the joy of fans who are excited to see one of Barrymore's newest social media videos, where she's simply out enjoying the rain.  And I thought, how appropriate since we've seemed to get a bunch of rain here recently.

The video is simple. Drew videos herself frolicking through the rain and encourages her viewers to do the same if they have the chance. While it seems so small, her fans love the fact that she's "healing her inner child" and enjoying the little things in life.

The video has over 9.5 million views. Some comments may have been a little on the rude side, but many stepped in to remind the world that being a child star wasn't easy for Drew.  So to see this joy, is really incredible.

It's also a great reminder for all of us... To start enjoying the little things.  To stop being so "grown up" all the time.  In fact, I've been dying to head to a park and get on a swing set recently.  But... maybe I'll just dance in the rain instead!

And remember Drew's advice, "Whenever you can, go out in the rain, do not miss the opportunity!"

What's something you did as a kid that would bring you joy today?  I encourage you to find something and do it just for fun!  Embrace that inner child, in a small way, each day!

Life's too short for us to be stressed and unhappy all the time.
