New Katy Perry Album?
According to Music-News, there’s a new Katy Perry album on the way!
Katy’s last album, ‘Smile,’ came out in 2020. Since that release, she was focused on her Las Vegas residency, which started in December 2021. But recently, she appeared on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ and discussed making a new album. She spoke of writing it and then touring the world. She adds it “will be so great.”

Me and Katy Perry
At one point, I was a huge Katy Perry fan. That was back when ‘Roar’ was a big hit. Since then, I honestly haven’t kept up much with her. Looks like I’ve got some listening to do to catch up before the new album! I will say I’m interested to see if her sound/style has changed any since I last really listened to her music.
A lot has changed since then… Of course her relationship with Orlando Bloom, and then of course becoming a mom!
Her Energy
I’m always amazed at stars who have incredible energy onstage. I can’t even imagine what it takes to do that — especially with so many shows packed into short time spans. When it comes to Katy’s energy, she told Drew Barrymore that she has a “persona” on stage, and saves her energy for the stage. She says she doesn’t talk a lot off stage, she’s more of “an observer.” But says when she hits the stage, it’s on! “It’s up to 11, girl,” she tells Barrymore.
When The Residency is Over
Katy does seem to have plans to hit the road once her Las Vegas residency is over. She says she’s got songs to “put on a big show that people age eight to 80 can enjoy.”
Even though she’s toured the world “three times over,” Katy knows it’s a constantly changing world, and she’s got “new fans every day.”
On Tour
If she does go on tour, I hope she comes to Atlanta or Charlotte! I think she’s definitely an artist I’d love to see live in concert. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see though, because for now, she’s still doing her residency in Vegas. So who knows when that new Katy Perry album will come, and when she’ll be able to launch a tour.
