Recently, millennials were polled about their favorite contemporary music artists.  The website Just Jared shared the results of the list with the top 15 artists.  Just a few weeks ago, Alicia Keys had been at the top of the list at number one.  But things have changed since then!  Who do you think are millennials' favorite music stars?

The poll was done by an international Internet-based market research and data analytics firm.  The ranking was determined by "the percentage of those polled who have a positive opinion of the entertainers included."

Honestly, the results of this poll are intriguing.  There are a few names we were sure would be on the list... For example, Taylor Swift didn't make it in the top 15! And given her new album and tour announcement, that is shocking!

Also, some of the names on the list aren't necessarily "new" artists either, like, Linkin Park, Gwen Stefani, and Pharrell. It definitely has us thinking about our own top artist list.

But for now, let's take a look at this list. While Just Jared has the top 15... we'll take a look at the top 10 of millennials' favorite music stars of 2022!

10. Ed Sheeran

Not surprised this guy made the list!  Ed Sheeran actually just announced a few days ago he's "signing off" until 2023 with this Instagram post:

9. Katy Perry

Katy Perry is a busy woman... with her Vegas residency, being a mom, a clothing line, American Idol and more... And millennials love her!

8. Gwen Stefani

This one was a little more surprising, but with Gwen Stefani on The Voice, along with her other ventures, she made the list of favorites for millennials!

7. Kendrick Lamar

This guy apparently puts on a great show.  Even The Guardian wrote a review about his show with the tag line "The Greatest Hip-Hop Show of All Time?"

6. Rihanna

This woman is no doubt a favorite among many.  From her music, to her make up, fans love her!  She's also a busy woman, not only with her work, but now as a new mom too!

5. Pharrell

Not a name we necessarily expected on this list, but he came in at number 5!

4. Selena Gomez

Another fierce woman on the list! She's not just a singer, but an entrepreneur with her beauty line, an actress and more!

3. Alicia Keys

She was at number one on the list earlier this year, but now she comes in at number 3.

2. Lady Gaga

She's a singer, a songwriter, and an actress.  Her interesting style and musical versatility have made Lady Gaga a name recognized all over!

1. Adele

The new number one on the list! Despite the postponement of her Las Vegas residency earlier this year, fans adore Adele and her fantastic vocal range!
