Official Contest Rules
These rules apply to the “WHHD Posty Pong Contest” (“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WHHD-FM (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.hd983.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.
- HOW TO ENTER
a. The Contest will begin on September 16, 2022 and end on October 14, 2022.
b. To participate in the Contest, up to thirty-two (32) teams (each comprised of two (2) persons) may register online or on-site on a first-come, first-serve basis as follows:

To register online, visit hd983.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Contest and complete and submit the online registration form beginning on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET. Online registrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station’s Privacy Policy. Limit one (1) team registration per eligible person regardless if person has more than one email address. Multiple persons are not permitted to share the same email address or participate on separate teams. Registration forms submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of a registration form shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Contest administrator.
d. To register on-site (if spots still remain available), visit Sole’ Augusta located at 1033 Broad Street Augusta, GA 30901 on Friday, October 14, 2022 beginning at 9:00 PM ET and ending at 9:30 PM ET to obtain an official registration form (available while supplies last). All registration form must be filled out completely and legibly and submitted as instructed by the Station. Incomplete or illegible registration forms may be removed in the Station’s sole discretion. Registration forms must be received by Friday, September 30, 2022 at 9:30 PM ET One (1) entry per person.
e. There will be up to a total of one (1) First Place Prize winning team, one (1) Second Place Prize winning team, and one (1) Third Place Prize winning team selected in the Contest.
- ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in Columbia, Richmond, Burke, McDuffie, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, Wilkes, and Lincoln Counties, GA and Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, McCormick, and Edgefield Counties, SC, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility.
- PRIZES
a. Up to one (1) First Place Prize will be awarded in the Contest. The First Place Prize is being provided by Republic Records and includes: two (2) tickets to the Post Malone concert on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at The Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX, round trip air fare for two (2) departing on October 26, 2022 and returning on October 27, 2022, and a hotel accommodation for two (2) for one (1) night checking in on October 26, 2022 and checking out on October 27, 2022. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the First Place Prize is $3000.
Actual value may vary and any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Certain travel restrictions may apply. All other costs not specifically stated herein, including but not limited to those of, taxes, meals, tips and additional ground transportation, baggage fees, hotel room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, and local and long-distance telephone calls are the responsibility of the winner. Selection of airline, hotel, and airline seat location at sole discretion of Station and/or prize provider. Airline regulations apply. The winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including, without limitation, passports for international travel. If applicable, the winner may be required to present a valid credit card upon hotel check in to cover any incidental expenses incurred during the winner’s stay. Winner and guest must abide by all airline, hotel, and venue policies. The winner and guest must sign all required releases prior to booking of any travel. If a prize-related event or travel is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Station and prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded elements of the prize(s). No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. If winner chooses to take the trip without a guest, s/he will be awarded the prize elements for one person only, and the remainder of the prize will be forfeited without compensation. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in travel and that these risks may be present before, during and after the trip. In addition, winner and guest(s) should be aware of and comply with government guidelines regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before, during and after the trip.
b. Up to one (1) Second Place Prize will be awarded in the Contest. The Second Place Prize is being provided by Messina Touring Group and includes: two (2) tickets to the Post Malone concert on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA; and Post Malone’s World Pong League game (provided by Beasley Media Group). The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the First Place Prize is $500.

Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable or transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond control of the Station and/or prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner(s) will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded element(s) of the prize(s). The Station and/or venue, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove the winner(s) and/or guest(s) if either engages in disruptive behavior or in a manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the prize-related event.
c. Up to one (1) Third Place Prize will be awarded in the Contest. The Third Place Prize is being provided by Beasley Broadcasting and consists of a Post Malone’s World Pong League game. ARV of the Third Place Prize is $25. The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is.
d. Prizes will be awarded to the person who registered on behalf of their Prize-winning team. If the person who registered on behalf of a Prize-winning team chooses to forfeit their half of the Prize, the Station may opt to allow the other member of the team to accept the Prize.
The person who registered on behalf of the First Place Prize-winning team will have the option to select whether or not their travel guest is their teammate.
e. Prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at Sole’ Augusta on Friday, September 30, 2022. Prize or prize certificate must be claimed on-site at the time of winning. Failure to claim Prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.
- SELECTION OF WINNERS
a. Up to one (1) First Place Prize winning team, one (1) Second Place Prize winning team, and one (1) Third Place Prize winning team will be selected as follows:
All pre-registered teams must check-in with Station personal at Sole’ Augusta located at 1033 Broad Street Augusta, GA 30901 on Friday, September 30, 2022, by 9:30pm ET. Any pre-registered teams not checked-in by 9:30pm ET may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Station.
All eligible teams will be placed in a bracket randomly drafted by the Station. Teams will play each other as listed in the bracket in a single-eliminated style “pong” tournament. Station will go over tournament rules before the matches begin. Specific rules will be on-site for reference. Station will be the sole judge in determining any rule interpretations in this Contest. Members of each team will alternate shots in an attempt to get the ball into their opponent’s cups. Cups may not be filled with anything other than water. Any team found to have filled their cup with an alcoholic beverage will be immediately disqualified. Once a ball lands in a cup, the cup is taken away. If both teammates hit cups, the balls are rolled back, and they get to shoot again. Once a team makes their final cup, the opposing team will have one attempt at redemption. Each player of the opposing team will have the chance to shoot until they miss. Once both players of the opposing team miss and there are remaining cups, the game is over. If the players of the opposing team manage to hit all remaining cups, match will continue as normal with one cup in play until redemption is not met. The team that successfully hits all of the opponent’s cups first wins the game and will advance to the next round.
As teams advance, Station will make announcements on-site and notify teams where in the venue their next games will be played and who their opponents will be. If at any time, a team is not present at the venue and cannot be notified by the Station, that team may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Station.
The First Place Prize will be awarded to the team that wins the designated final match of the tournament, and the Second Place Prize will be awarded to the losing team in the designated final match of the tournament. The Third Place Prize will be awarded to the team that wins the designated “Third Place” match of the tournament.
b. Entrants need not listen to the Station to win but must be present on-site to participate in the Contest and win.
c. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

This Promotion is governed by Florida law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. - HOW TO ENTER: There are three (3) ways to enter. Contestants may enter online, via mobile app entry or by text as follows:
- To participate in the Promotion, Station listeners will need to listen to a participating Station each weekday during the Promotion Period at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 3pm, 5pm ET or 5am, 7am, 9am, 12pm, 2pm PT, when at each time a Cue will be announced. The Cue will include a unique Key Word. Upon hearing the Cue, enter by entering the Key Word on a Station’s mobile app, entering online at a Station’s website or by texting the Key Word to 45911 no later than fifteen (15) minutes after the start of the hour during which the Cue is announced to be entered for a chance to win a $1000 cash prize.
- On each weekday throughout the Promotion, five (5) potential nationwide prize winners will be randomly selected –

- Each entry window shall close at the start of the fifteenth (15th) minute after the top of the hour in which the Cue is announced, regardless of when the Cue airs (each, an “Entry Period”). Each participating station reserves the right to announce the Cue between the first one (1) and fifteen (15) minutes of the hour. Beasley Media will attempt to call the randomly selected entrant four (4) times shortly following the random drawing for the applicable Entry Period. No voicemail message will be left. If the potential prize winner fails to answer the calls or is disconnected or is otherwise found to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and the Station will randomly select another entrant from the same Entry Period Pool to be the potential $1000 prize winner. This will continue until the $1000 prize is awarded in that hour (time permitting). - Entrants may enter only once per Entry Period, regardless of the method of entry (i.e., only one (1) entry per person per Cue). Additional entries will be disqualified by the Promotion Entities solely at their discretion. A listener may only win one $1000 cash prize during the Promotion, and only one $1000 cash prize winner per household is permitted during the Promotion Period. For this Promotion only, restrictions that would prevent a listener from winning if he/she had won another recent Beasley Media station contest or promotion will not apply. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Beasley Media. Beasley Media’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Promotion. Any attempt by any Contestant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, registrations or any other methods will void that participant’s entries and that Contestant may be disqualified.
- In the event of an equipment malfunction, Beasley Media reserves the right to award prize to a randomly selected entrant from the immediately prior Entry Period pool, except that any such Contestant who was awarded the prize for such Entry Period will be excluded. Given the volume of participation, Contestants may experience an inability to access website to enter.
- Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Entrants should not rely on streamed broadcasts to participate in any contest as they may be disadvantaged when participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station for the Cues on-air. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for online streaming delays or outages.
- PRIZES: No more than the advertised number of prizes shall be awarded. A prize may not be sold, traded, or commissioned, and is not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash except in the Promotion Entities’ sole discretion. Prize details and availability are subject to change. There are no substitutions unless specified by Beasley Media and Beasley Media reserves the right to substitute any prize (or prize component) with another prize (or prize component) of equal or greater value at its sole discretion. Prizing may be fulfilled by a third party fulfillment company. The Promotion Entities are not in any way responsible or liable for damages resulting from shipping and handling, loss, use or misuse of any prize awarded in this contest. The prize is awarded if properly claimed according to the Rules and if there are sufficient eligible entries. All other costs and expenses related to prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of winner(s). If the winner is disqualified or is found to be ineligible for the contest, Beasley Media reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award the prize, at its sole discretion. Each prize is $1000 cash (in the form of a check made payable to the prize winner upon confirmation of his/her eligibility). The Station may award up to one hundred fifty (150) total $1000 prizes for an approximate total retail value for the Promotion of $150,000. Each cash prize will be issued as a check payable to the order of the prize winner upon verification of eligibility and upon timely receipt of all completed prize winner paperwork. Checks will be processed and mailed within four to eight weeks upon verification of eligibility and receipt of all completed prize winner paperwork. All taxes, including but not limited to, federal, state, and local taxes, and any other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of a prize are solely the responsibility of the winner. The prize winners will each be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the value of their respective prize(s).
- WINNER SELECTION: Potential $1000 cash prize winners will be determined as described above and will be notified by telephone beginning approximately fifteen (15) minutes following each Entry Period. Listeners from approximately fifty-one (51) radio stations in multiple radio markets across the United States will be participating at the same time(s). Odds of being selected as a $1000 cash prize winner depend on the combined number of entries received from all markets. Decisions of Beasley Media with respect to the Promotion are final.
- WINNER NOTIFICATION: Beasley Media may notify potential prize winners by telephone with follow up correspondence by email, U.S. Mail and/or courier. Winners must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within five (5) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.
- CONDITIONS
- By participating, Contestants agree to: (a) release Promotion Entities, their respective directors, officers, agents and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize; and (b) except where prohibited by law, consent to the use by Beasley Media, the Station, or any other participating station, or their designees or agents, of winner’s name, hometown, likeness, statements and other personally identifiable information for promotion, advertising and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional consideration and consent or prior review. To the extent not prohibited by law, winners also agree to provide Beasley Media with an interview, which may be used in connection with the Promotion. Promotion Entities are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human or other error, late, lost, or misdirected mail, or any other error or malfunction related to or resulting from participation in this Promotion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, PROMOTION ENTITIES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If for any reason the Promotion is not able to be executed as planned (in whole or in part), due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of entrants, technical failures, or any other causes which in the opinion of Administrator and/or Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, Administrator and/or Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any suspect entry or Contestant and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at the stations website and/or the event(s) and determination of the prize winner will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the termination, cancellation or suspension, as Administrator and/or Sponsor determines in their sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.
- Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other commonly owned stations in the Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a completed Form W-9 or equivalent upon request will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.
- Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless Upland IX, LLC, JacApps, Jacobs Media, Whiz Technologies Inc., Beasley Media, the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the participating radio stations, their licensees, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and prize delivery.
- Beasley Media’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of this provision. If due to circumstances beyond the control of Beasley Media, including any force majeure event or other event of local or national importance, any segment of the Promotion is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, Beasley Media reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible if any part of a Promotion prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism, or other factors beyond the Released Parties’ control.
- Contestants understand, acknowledge and agree that the Released Parties shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from the rejection of an entry given Beasley Media’s belief that the contestant was abusing or tampering with the Promotion entry process in any manner or due to any technical malfunction of the telephone or network transmission line or any entries that are late, delayed, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, corrupted or otherwise not in compliance with the rules or applicable law.
- The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, equipment malfunctions, disconnections, or other technological failures, dropped calls or interruptions; (v) misdirected, misdialed, incomplete, incorrect, or late mobile text or website entries; and (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same.
- Any disputes that may arise hereunder shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction. Venue with respect to any such disputes shall be had in the state and federal courts of the State of Florida.
