GOOD VIBES: Taylor Swift Fan Restores Faith In Humanity With Act Of Integrity
Taylor Swift fans were on high alert this week, when Taylor announced that she was shipping a limited supply of autographed copies of her latest album, Folklore, to independent record stores all over America.
One box of autographed CDs was scheduled to ship to Exclusive Co. Records in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The plan hit a snag when UPS delivered the box of signed CDs to the record store at 9:45 a.m.–fifteen minutes before the store opened and an employee could sign for it.
Instead, the mail man left the package with one of the fans camped outside–a risky move, given how coveted the contents were among hard-core Swifties.
When the store opened, the fan, who had a hunch what the package contained, handed the unopened box to the store manager, Tom Smith.
Smith told Today that the box of autographed CD’s could have gone for as much as $9,000 dollars, so the fan’s honesty was “really endearing.” The Swiftie told Smith, “Taylor would have not wanted me to walk off with this.”
“Taylor Swift does such cool things, and I think they’re taking their cue from her,” Scott said in an interview with the Green Bay Press Gazette.
