Meet Today’s Wet Nose Wednesday Pup: Athena!
Get To Know Me:
Hi, I’m Athena! I’m a 4 year old possible German shepherd mix and I weigh around 50 pounds.
My Perfect Fur-Ever Home:
My ideal home would be an active family, maybe one who likes to go on walks or maybe even hitting some of the easier hiking trails. I really could stand to lose a few extra pounds so maybe we could be work out buddies! I’m completely house trained but I would still love a fenced in yard… I can play catch for hours and I love prancing around showing off my sweet catching skills. Not only that but I know so many basic commands, yep I’m that smart of a pup. My foster mom says I’m the complete package, you can’t get much better than that! Trust me she’s fostered so many pups so I think she knows a little something about well behaved doggies * tail wag*
When play time is over, I’m ready for some quiet time inside with the family. I’m honestly happiest just hanging out with them and getting some extra ear rubs. I get a long with other dogs… all ages and sizes. Kids are pretty great, as long as they aren’t trying to climb all over me but what pup loves that? I’ve seen a few cats in passing and didn’t seem to mind them at all but of course that’s what home visits are for, gotta make sure everyone gets along perfectly. Oh I’m also crate trained but my foster mom says I really don’t need it, I’m so over that puppy stage so you don’t have to worry about me chewing up anything. That’s the good thing about adopting older dogs like myself!
