Get To Know Me:
Hi, I’m River! I’m a 3 to 4 year old possible Merle Pittie mix. I’m pint sized and weigh around 35 pounds. I came into rescue when volunteers found me at the shelter barely able to walk due to poor nutrition, which is the reason my veterinarian thinks I stayed on the smaller size to be full grown. They knew they couldn’t leave me behind; the shelters are so maxed out I honestly didn’t stand a chance.
My Perfect Fur-Ever Home:
My ideal home would be a outgoing family. Not only am I really adventurous, I’m also full of personality. Since getting a second chance I never take a moment for granted. The love I have for everyone really shows. I never meet a stranger and I soak up getting all the attention.
I get along great with other dogs, hopefully they just don’t mind my playfulness. My foster mom says it’s rare to see me switch off play time. I can’t help it; I never got to be a puppy so I’m truly living my best life! You should see how excited I get when you get my favorite toys, especially my Kong. Fill it full of peanut butter and I’m the happiest boy.
I’m doing great with house training but I still need patience and consistency. My foster mom believes living inside is still new to me so give me time to adjust. I promise I’m worth it. Plus who wouldn’t want a cutie like me in your family?
