Justin Timberlake Considers Tell-All Interview Amid Britney Drama
Justin Timberlake is feeling the pressure of angry fans… angry Britney Spears fans, specifically. He’s considering sitting for a tell-all interview. As we previously reported, the “Toxic” singer wrote about her relationship with Timberlake in her memoir, The Woman In Me. In the memoir, Spears wrote that she had an abortion while pregnant with the *NSYNC alum’s child. She claimed he was the one who pushed for it. Spears wrote: “Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.” The decision to have an abortion had a lasting impact on Spears, who was 19 at the time. She felt Timberlake was the love of her life during their relationship, which lasted three years until 2002.
That was back in October. Timberlake faced backlash from Britney’s fans then and had to turn off comments on his Instagram for a while. Now, with the recent release of his song “Selfish” and an upcoming album, the drama has been reignited between the Y2K pop royalty. Britney apologized to JT and complimented him during his appearance on The Tonight Show. But his comments during a concert following weree taken as a diss to Britney.
Following his bold “apology” to “absolutely f—ing nobody,” Timberlake was apparently “seething” over the negative press that has been “overshadowing his new music.” Britney caught wind of his “apology” and slammed him on Instagram. She wrote: “Someone told me someone was talking s— about me on the streets !!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!”
Timberlake hoped the backlash would have blown over by now, a source told Page Six, so he could focus on the Everything I Thought It Was. “But every day is something new,” the insider added. EITIW releases on March 15, and as fans flood all his new posts with negative comments, he is considering a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, according to a new report by Daily Mail. A source told the publication that he wanted his new music “to speak for itself, but that’s clearly not happening.” After making things worse with his onstage “apology” last month, he feels like he has to do the interview now that the backlash has increased.
