Peppa Pig’s Twitter Mocks Kanye’s ‘Donda’ Album Rating, Deletes Tweet
Peppa may be a “loveable, cheeky piggy,” but when album ratings are involved, the British cartoon character puts an emphasis on the “cheeky” part.
A tweet from the official Peppa Pig Twitter account compared Pitchfork ratings between Peppa’s sophomore album, Peppa’s Adventures: The Album and Kanye West’s Donda. Earning a half point more than West, who received a Pitchfork rating of 6.0, with contributing editor Dylan Green calling it a “data dump of songs searching for a higher calling,” Insider reports.
Contributor Peyton Thomas called Peppa Pig’s album a “charming and self-assured celebration of family, friendship, and muddy puddles.” Following Donda’s Sunday (August 29) release, Twitter noticed the higher-rated swine — so much so that the official Peppa Pig account joined in on the victory that they couldn’t help but to compare the reviews.
The tweet, which was deleted hours after it was posted yesterday (September 1) read, “Peppa didn’t need to host listening parties in Mercedes-Benz Stadium to get that .5,” followed by a microphone and pig snout emoji. The tweet referenced the Donda listening party that West held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in July.
There’s even a Twitter account dedicated to comparing Pitchfork reviews to that of Peppa’s Adventures: The Album.

The fact that children’s cartoon soundtrack for Peppa Pig received a higher rating than Ye’s long-anticipated project is hilarious.
Peppa Pig’s first album, My First Album, exploded online in July 2019, when people overcommitted to hyping Peppa up as the newest pop icon. People joked that Peppa’s album was going to blow Iggy Azalea, who was releasing music on the same day, completely out of the water. Azalea, to her credit, played along with the joke.
