Are you longing that delicious airline food since you are stuck at home in quarantine? Well, now you can have it delivered. Jet Blue is now offering that prepackaged meals to customers through Imperfect Foods.  Imperfect foods is a company that sells cosmetically blemished food (see also: ugly), or items that have excess inventory, are undervalued, have had package changes, or that are close to being expired.

Per the New York Post, “Subscribers longing for the times when they could jet off without the fear of contracting COVID-19 can opt now for the inflight experience: mixed cheeses, crackers and dried cherries from the Long Island-headquartered airline that has seen a steep decline in travelers due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

Philip Behn, the CEO of Imperfect Foods, explained during a recent radio interview that, “This was one of our first COVID-19 food waste recovery opportunities.” He also revealed that they have actually sold 40,000 snack packs.

Another useful aspect of this opportunity: the food is significantly cheaper through Imperfect Foods than it is on a flight. As the New York Post points out, “Flyers previously had to pony up $9 for the airline’s ‘EatUp’ boxes, according to JetBlue’s website. Through Imperfect Foods, the trio of cheeses, plus dried fruit and crackers, will only set you back $2.99.”
