Tyler, the Creator won the award for Best Rap Album at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards.
“You guys took a seed and watered it,” Tyler said after accepting his award. ” Y’all always stand by me and get me. I really appreciate that.”
“I really want to thank Pharrell Williams,” Tyler continued. “That man has allowed me to be comfortable with myself.”
“I love y’all,” Tyler said before the music cued, informing the rapper that he was going over the time limit.
Tyler was joined on stage by his mother who became overwhelmed with emotion and started crying tears of joy.
