ICYMI: Kesha’s Struggles Inspire Her To Release Her Newest Single
If there are two things you can learn from pop star Kesha, it’s to let go of hate and hold onto happiness.
For the past several years, the singer has suffered through some tough times. She’s been on an emotional rollercoaster, fighting an eating disorder and depression and struggling to find inner peace.
But because of these unbearable experiences, Kesha has grown into a strong, independent woman who eventually came to see the light even through her darkest moments.
And now after four years, she’s telling her story through her new single, “Praying”, that was released on Thursday. The song is a part of her upcoming album, “Rainbow”, that is set to hit stores in August.
According to a letter Kesha wrote, “Praying” is a song about being confident in and staying true to yourself even when it seems like the whole world is crashing down and you have no one to turn to. Kesha also says the song is about her finding peace and realizing that the universe in control and that she as one person cannot control everyone and everything.
“I hope this song reaches people who are in the midst of struggles, to let them know that no matter how bad it seems now, you can get through it. If you have love and truth on your side, you will never be defeated. Don’t give up on yourself,” Kesha said.

“Praying” is one of those songs that is sure to bring out all the feels. This powerful and uplifting song touches on Kesha’s life and the obstacles she’s had to overcome. She’s found strength through writing music that documents her life. She wants her fans to understand the real Kesha as a person, not a Hollywood celebrity who makes headlines and magazine covers.
We’d like to praise Kesha for working hard to achieve the happiness she once had. We’re excited to see her making music again! In the meantime, we’ll be looking out for the rainbow!
