Former NFL Cheerleader Says She Was Fired After Sharing Racy Photo Online
A former NFL Cheerleader with the New Orleans Saints claims she was terminated after sharing a photo online while wearing a revealing outfit.
According to People, the cheerleader, Bailey Davis, has since filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Davis said she was terminated due to breaking a rule set by the squad that prevents the women from sharing racy or partially nude photographs on social media.
Davis, who shared the photo on her private Instagram account, feels the decision to terminate her position on the squad is unfair. She also notes that NFL players have different standards than the cheer squad.
At the time of the termination, Davis was already being investigated due to rumors that she had attended a party where players from the New Orlean Saints were present.
In the team’s handbook, it states that players do not have to avoid the women on the cheer squad, however, the women are asked not to have contact with the players in person or on social media.
Do you think Davis has a case?
