A New Record For The World’s Longest Mullet
A new record for the world’s largest mullet has been set!
The new record holder’s name is Tami Manis of Knoxville, TN, and if you can believe she’s been growing her mullet out for the last 33 years. Guinness World Records found out about a competition she was in recently where her record-length mullet was recorded. They sent her a certificate to make it an official world record. In 2002, Tami competed in a USA Mullet Championship and her mullet was recorded at 5 feet 8 inches.
Her division was called the “Femullet” division and somehow she placed second. Since the record-setting length was recorded last year this means that her mullet is probably longer today.
This all began back in the 80s for Tami. She kept her mullett for most of the decade until one day when she decided it was “Last Call” for the part in the back.
In 1989 she cut it off and Tami told GWR that it was the biggest mistake she ever made. She said she missed it immediately. By February of 1990, she started growing it back and hasn’t cut the length since.
If you look at the post about Tami below, you’ll notice that she isn’t very tall.
Does her hair ever glide across the ground when she walks? How long does it take her to get ready in the morning? Also, can this work as a blanket too? I applaud Tami for her achievement and her 33-year-long dedication to keep growing out her mullet.
My favorite mullets used to be Billy Ray Cyrus, Joe Dirt, and Morgan Wallen before he shaved his off. Neither of them holds a candle to Tami Manis of Knoxville, Tenessee. A new record for the world’s largest mullet belongs to her.
Congratulations to Tami Manis, whose mullet features as the world's longest inside #GWR2024 👏 pic.twitter.com/SxzSWM19Hj
