Active Shooter Training At North Augusta School
According to a recent Facebook post from North Augusta Public Safety, they will be performing active shooter training this summer. Officers will be doing the training at Hammond Hills Elementary School over the next 4 weeks. NAPS states this is part of regularly scheduled training. And they want to let the public know not to be alarmed if they notice a large presence of marked and unmarked patrol cars during this time.
Unfortunately, with so many acts of violence occurring, active shooter training is becoming a necessity around the country. We hate that it’s something we have to worry about. But, we are thankful for the men and women who are serving our communities. We appreciate their efforts to keep us and our families safe.
