The CSRA animal rescue, Team Stinkykiss Shelter Rescue Project, is requesting assistance gathering donations as they set up an evacuation center. The center will be a place for pets of hurricane evacuees to be temporarily housed.

In the past, Team Stinkykiss set up an evacuation center to house pets for owners in previous hurricane evacuations. After monitoring Tropical Storm Debbie, the CSRA animal rescue knew they needed to take action. But time is of the essence, with the storm, which was upgraded to a hurricane, expected to hit today.

Team Stinkykiss has secured a building at the Aiken Fairgrounds (561 May Royal Drive, Aiken, SC) to house the animals. They are going to be on-site today (Monday, August 5) accepting donations between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Additional times and information will be released as the effort gets underway.

Team Stinkykiss Needs For Evacuation Center

First of all, Team Stinkykiss needs volunteers. These volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. You can message Team Stinkykiss Shelter Rescue Project on Facebook for additional volunteer information. Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes.

In addition to volunteers, there is a huge need for supplies to provide for the animals. Some of the requested items include:

  • Crates / X Pens / 5x5 Kennels, etc.
  • Litter Pans and Litter
  • Puppy Pads
  • Poop Bags
  • Dog & Cat Food and bowls
  • Bottled Water
  • Towels, Blankets, and Sheets
  • Cleaning Supplies: Paper Towels, Clorox Wipes, Cleaning Solution, Disposable Gloves, Trash Bags, Etc.
  • Storage Totes
  • Fans
  • Coolers
  • Extension Cords

See Team Stinkykiss's Facebook Page for a full list of items, and to stay up-to-date with their efforts to get the evacuation center up and running.
