Decoding Taylor Swift’s New “Gorgeous” Track

The new song from Taylor Swift is the most Taylor Swift she’s sounded yet with her new singles, and we’re pretty sure this is about her new beau, Joe Alwyn.
From the sound of it, if she’s talking about personal life experience, Taylor was hanging out in a club and started talking to Joe Alwyn while still dating Tom Hiddleston. She notes that she was going to drink and stumble home alone to her cats, and she didn’t know where her “older than us” boyfriend was at the time.
The track swings back to the pop-sugar we’re used to hearing from Swift, and a lot less rap-girl chic.
