From DIY hair masks, to body scrubs, I’ve seen lots of trends when it comes to self-care, but this one did take me by surprise. A new trend of eating oranges in the shower is making it’s round online.

Now’s the part where you’re probably waiting for me to tell you the amazing skin benefits, or other superficial perks of this new trend… Well, there aren’t any.

This trend is more about people taking a moment to relax, and enjoy an orange in the shower. That’s as deep as it goes.

People online have reported loving the scent, and feeling even more energized after their shower because of the orange.

It may be an odd ritual, but some people online are swearing by it.

While I have had a drink in the shower with me before, I’ve never eaten anything in the shower.

It’s an interested concept, and I understand why it may be more enjoyable because of all the sensory things happening simultaneously.

The internet is such an odd place…
