Evans Business Announces Significant Expansion
Rooted Coffeehouse Expanding in Evans
Rooted Coffeehouse is expanding its location in Suite 213 at the Meybohm Building in Evans Town Center.
Meybohm Real Estate says the local business will be taking over the entire space, previously shared with Alumni Cookie Dough, in response to growing demand from customers for a more diverse and substantial menu.
Expanded Menu
In addition to its breakfast fare, Rooted Coffeehouse will offer customers an expanded menu featuring a variety of lunch and dinner items. Customers love their variety of hot and cold coffee drinks, smoothies, breakfast bowls, banana bread and cranapple oatmeal bowls, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, blueberry and cream cheese toast, and apple butter and cream cheese toast. Hot sandwiches include sweet ham, caprese, spicy chicken, turkey brie, the Lox, and more.
The new menu will include things like grain bowls, bone broth and fresh juices.
“We’re excited to curate a menu that looks different from out current offerings, but are items we long to bring to our community. We know that when we nourish the roots, we tend to the soul, and that is what we plan to accomplish with this new menu,” said Heather Needles, co-owner of Rooted Coffeehouse.
Transition
The transition to the full space at Suite 213 is expected to be finished in 2024. Rooted Coffeehouse will remain open during the renovation process.
“We are thrilled about the expansion of Rooted Coffeehouse as it takes over the full space at Suite 213 in the Meybohm Building,” said Jordan Collier, Director of Commercial Development at Meybohm. “Rooted Coffeehouse has become a cherished part of our community, and we are confident that this expansion will only enhance the exceptional experience they provide to their customers.”
Rooted Coffeehouse, created by a mother-daughter duo who moved the entire family to Georgia in 2016, opened its first location in The Market at Riverwood off William Few Parkway in Evans.

Gilmore Girls is many things: A lifestyle, a religion and, of course, one of the greatest examples of the joy of coffee.
If you need further proof, the nice people at Warner Bros. TV even created this supercut of the show’s most iconic coffee moments. In it, you’ll find, among other moments:
-“Coffee, coffee, coffee!”
-“I need coffee in an I.V.!”
-“Coffee, please, and a shot of cynicism.”
-“I stop drinking the coffee, I stop doing the standing and walking and the words putting into sentence doing.”
If you need further proof of the importance of coffee to Gilmore Girls fandom, let’s go back to 2016. To celebrate the show’s 16th anniversary and the pending release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, nearly 200 cafes across the United States were transformed into Luke’s Diner locations. (And if you needed proof of this author’s Gilmore Girls fandom, just look at the flashback Instagram post below.)
For one very special day, fans lined up at these cafes to enjoy a special cup of coffee in Luke’s Diner cups, complete with special branded sleeves. As if that weren’t enough, the cup itself featured another iconic Lorelai quote about coffee:
“Everything in my life has something to do with coffee. I believe in a former life, I was coffee.”
With all of this in mind, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to honor the iconic series with this collection of Gilmore Girls mugs. Surely, there’s one for you below for whenever you need coffee, which is always, obviously. No judgment here on whether you drink it, shoot it, eat it or snort it. We all know a certain Stars Hollow resident understands.
