CSRA News: Seven Candidates for Augusta’s Mayoral Race
The number of candidates for Augusta Mayor in the non-partisan elections coming up stands at seven.
Among the most recent qualifiers is Richmond County Tax Commissioner Steven Kendrick and local resident Lori Myles. Former Augusta Commissioner Wayne Guilfoyle also secured a ballot spot in the District 10 race joining incumbent John Clarke and challenger Robert Cooks who also qualified. Candidates have until noon Friday to pay their qualifying fee.

“Cody” Blaine Jackson is one half of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on Kicks 99, and also serves as the Digital Program Director for Beasley Media Group in Augusta. She’s a Georgia native but currently resides just across the river in South Carolina. She started in the radio industry as a part-time board operator, and moved up through various roles, including on-air positions and program director for multiple stations.
