Evans Towne Center Park Kicks Off The Holiday Spirit With Annual Display Of Lights and More
Evans Towne Center Park will be lit up this evening with the annual display of Christmas lights. The lighting will be at 5:30 pm sharp.
This will be the park’s first step to a Winter Wonderland. If you didn’t catch the lighting up of the park, no worries, more holiday events are to follow at the Evans Towne Center Park this holiday season.
Sip N Shop – November 30
On November 30, community members will also have the opportunity to experience the annual Columbia County Sip and Shop event will take place from 4 pm to 9 pm. The event is for family and friends to grab a drink and shop local vendors, such as food vendors, craft vendors, and much more.
This could also be a great time to get your holiday shopping on!
Christmas in Columbia County – December 3
There will be another annual ceremony held to showcase the Christmas tree lights come alive. While the initial Christmas light ceremony held on November 20, was to light the parks Christmas lights, one thing that is purposefully not lit, is the tree.
That ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 3. This day is also known as Christmas in Columbia County, because the whole day is filled with activities to bring on the holiday spirit in the town.
1 pm – Holiday Market Begins. This is another chance to explore local vendors around the CSRA. A few hours after the market begins, there will be a Christmas parade.
3 pm – The Christmas Parade will begin in Columbia County.
1:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Santa Pictures. Throughout the afternoon Santa will be at the Evans Towne Center Park taking pictures.
And then the big finale to end the night..
6:15 pm Approximately – Tree Lighting Ceremony followed by fireworks.
Since the lights will be lit today at the park, you can also take a stroll through the light displays and take a glide at the Evans on Ice rink.
