Is there going to be The Grinch sequel? Eh, not so much.  Well, it is described as a “horror parody/sequel.” The movie is called “The Mean One.” According to Looper, it’s far from your average Grinch movie.  Apparently, the film is very loosely based on the original Dr. Seuss character from the 1957 book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

In this movie, you won’t get warm and fuzzy feelings. Instead, this is filled with blood, baseball bats, and revenge. Other than living high on a crooked mountain where he looks down at a town of people he doesn’t like, the similarities pretty much end there.

The story takes place decades after the original.  And the movie follows Cindy You-Know-Who as she returns to her hometown. But, when it comes to remembering the night the Grinch stole Christmas… it isn’t like what you may remember.

This story is much darker than you might expect.  Check out the official trailer below! If you’re one who enjoys a bloody, horror take on Christmas… maybe you’ll enjoy this version of a “The Grinch Sequel”!  “The Mean One” will have a limited release in theaters on December 15th.

And this isn’t the only childhood classic film that’s being remade with a dark twist. Recently, it was announced there would be a new Bambi film… and it’s nothing like you would imagine! More on that film HERE.
