Britney Spears is calling out yet another early 2000s pop icon. In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Spears, 40, suggested that an artist like Jennifer Lopez would have never been subjected to the same treatment she had.

“Jesus f---ing Christ... I’d like to see somebody tell Jennifer Lopez to sit down eight hours a day seven days a week... no car. I’d like to see a management team tell Jennifer Lopez to go through what I went through... no car, own security of 5 years telling me at my own door I can't walk outside for 4 months... no door for privacy... and watched me change and shower," Spears' post read. "I'd like to see a management team tell Jennifer Lopez to go through what I went through... What the f--- do you think she would do ... her family would NEVER allow that."

“After 14 years of telling me ‘no’ to what I wanted... it’s ruined for me... but that wasn’t the worst part... the worst part was my family locking me up in that place for four months,” she added, alluding to her involuntary stay in a clinical facility.

Spears claimed that at one point, she had been “abruptly” taken off her usual medication and “drugged” with lithium. She previously recounted being given lithium against her will while testifying in court during her conservatorship battle. “It’s a strong drug. You can go mentally impaired if you stay on it longer than five months. I felt drunk, I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything,” she said in a Los Angeles courtroom.

The "Hold Me Closer" singer said that the conservatorship and its fallout had left her feeling that she would rather “s--- in [her] f---ing pool than join the entertainment business."

"Everytime" is a haunting ballad that was paired with an even more unsettling music video — one that seems to depict the mental effects of being hounded by paparazzi and trapped in an unhappy relationship.

"Lucky" (2000) tells a story about a famous pop star named Lucky, who despite seemingly having it all (fame, wealth, beauty) is truly lonely and unhappy on the inside. Looking back now, you can't help but relate the song to the singer's real-life troubles.

1. Toxic

The #1 slot goes to "Toxic," the song that brings out the bad girl in everyone. On a personal note, I remember watching the music video as a young child and feeling the need to change the channel when my parents walked in because it was SO risqué! Delighted to say it is a song that has transcended time and is played to this day.
