A soldier at Fort Gordon faces federal prison time after admitting to the distribution of child pornography. Twenty nine year old Joshua Gamble awaits sentencing after pleading guilty in U.S. District Court in Augusta.
Officials with the U.S. Attorney in Georgia’s Southern District say the FBI began investigating Gamble after agents got a tip through an internet chat app last October. He faces a minimum of five years behind bars, and as many as 20 years when he’s sentenced.
An Augusta man will spend the next 3 ½ years in the federal lockup after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.
Twenty three year old Robert Synenberg was sentenced after entering the plea in U.S. District Court in Augusta. Synenberg was arrested in late 2020 after FBI agents were tipped by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. When he gets out, Synenberg will have to register as a sex offender and serve 20 years of supervised release.
