Quavo And Saweetie Elevator Incident Being Investigated By Police
Law enforcement has opened an investigation into Quavo and Saweetie’s elevator altercation gossip web site TMZ reports.
Police sources revealed that LAPD detectives have seen the video TMZ posted, showing the now ex-couple fighting over a video game console box. Police want to meet with both parties separately to discuss the events that took place within the elevator. Sources tell TMZ that the situation might be considered an instance of domestic violence, where both parties are at fault. Cops want to determine what happened before and after the elevator surveillance footage was captured.
The video, which was recorded last year opens with Saweetie seemingly taking a swing at Quavo outside of the open elevator doors. They continued to struggle over the orange gaming case, and then Quavo grabs Saweetie by the arm and drags her into the elevator, swinging her around causing her to hit the wall and both collapse on the ground. Quavo gets up, but Saweetie stays sitting on the floor through the rest of their elevator ride. There’s a moment where Quavo looks up at the security camera in the elevator. When it comes to a stop, a man is seen waiting to get on the elevator but doesn’t go inside — most likely seeing there is something going on. Finally, when they get to their stop, Quavo sets down the Call of Duty game case to keep the door held open until Saweetie gets up and limps out.
Per TMZ, once cops close their investigation, they will likely turn it over to the City Attorney to review for a possible criminal case.
Neither Quavo nor Saweetie has spoken out since the video was released online.
Saweetie did admit on Twitter that their relationship was over on March 19:
I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.

Quavo took to Twitter afterward, confirming the split:
I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best 🙏🏾.

To which Saweetie replied back simply, “Take care:”
