More Pet-Friendly Workplace Post-Pandemic?
Would you be happy with a more pet-friendly workplace?
Have you spent more time with your pet since the beginning of the pandemic? Or did you adopt a new furry friend to have companionship while working remotely?
There may be some good news as we think ahead for post-pandemic life!
It looks like 6 in 10 companies are planning to be more flexible, to help ensure pets don’t get lonely!
A survey of 500 C-suite executives shows 59% plan to give more options for employees wanting to stay remote with their pets. The survey also shows that 72% expect more workplaces to be pet-friendly post-pandemic.
The survey was commissioned by Banfield Pet Hospital and conducted by OnePoll, asking dog and cat owners about their desire to have their animals at work. Three in 10 of those employees actually adopted a new dog or cat during the pandemic. Some are even planning to reach out to their employers about more pet-friendly options.
Most pet owners who were working remotely say the increased time at home has them thinking of how to incorporate their pet in their workday. Over half of the respondents say they’d be happiest spending their workday with their pet by their side! Many also worry about separation anxiety when they do return to work.
WHY do employees like the idea of bringing their pet to work?
- Worried their pet will have separation anxiety if left home alone 38%
