Luke Perry’s Final Episode of ‘Riverdale’ to Air This Week
Luke Perry’s final episode as Fred Andrews on the CW’s Riverdale will air Wednesday.
The actor passed away unexpectedly last month, following a stroke at the age of 52.
As is usually the case with television shows, Perry filmed multiple episodes for the current season in advance, so he has appeared in multiple episodes so far. However, according to TV Line, showrunners announced to the cast and crew that tomorrow’s episode will be his last. Earlier this week, an executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, also made an announcement via Twitter.
“This week’s Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed,” Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on Twitter. “As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between father and son. Wish these scenes could go on forever…”
