To get you pumped for this exciting new season, we want to refresh your memory with these five traits that accurately describe Rebecca’s character.
- Ridiculously intelligent
Rebecca actually went to both Harvard and Yale. She has a high IQ and managed to land a job as a high-up attorney at a prestigious law firm in the big apple. That is until she bumped into her summer camp love and ex-boyfriend Josh Chan. - Not so street smart
Rebecca has brains, but she doesn’t pick up on social cues and doesn’t actually fit the “real life” world. She shows up drunk to a work meeting and she sometimes expects her coworker and friend, Paula Proctor, to drop her family life to help her come up with foolish ways to pursue Josh. - Off the charts ambitious
She gets the job done and done well, despite her anxiety and stressful nature. When she wants something she goes for it. She’s a go-getter even if it winds her up in trouble. Like leaving her high-paying job in New York to pursue happiness in West Covina, California to rekindle a relationship with Josh. Who would risk their great future for a boy? Rebecca would! You can’t change her mind once she makes a decision. - Stays true to herself
Rebecca is proud of who she is. She eats, wears and does what she wants. If she wants to sleep with someone while on a date with another person, she’ll do it. When she decides she wants to be a good person and change the world, she doesn’t hesitate. - Adventurous
One minute she invites herself to Josh’s beach trip where she finds herself performing a pole-dancing routine in front of his friends. The next minute, she’ll be doing just about anything to have an encounter with Josh, even if it means throwing rocks through her own screen door. We can’t keep up!
In sum, Rebecca is a smart, beautiful woman who defines the meaning of a hot mess!
Alongside her work on the upcoming season, star and co-creator Rachel Bloom has taken the spotlight yet again in the CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Emmy Campaign video with a very important message for her fans. She HATES award shows. She’s blunt, she’s honest and she’ll sing about. But we’re not surprised. We’d expect nothing less from an extrovert who speaks her mind with no filter.

The season premiere will air October 13 at 8 p.m. We can’t wait to see what kind of shenanigans this high-strung actress will get into this go round!
