Josh Duhamel: Why His Marriage with Fergie Ended
Fergie and Josh Duhamel attends the TOM FORD Autumn/Winter 2015 Womenswear Collection Presentation at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on February 20, 2015.
Josh Duhamel discussed why his 10-year marriage to former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie didn’t work out. The Shotgun Wedding star opened up about his relationship during a recent interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger. Duhamel, 50, admitted that the media attention surrounding his relationship with Fergie, 48, was “a lot” for him to handle. He told the journalist, “I don’t think I ever really got comfortable with all of it. I just missed the simplicity of who I really am, you know?” The North Dakota native said he’s just “not a guy who is comfortable going to red carpets, doing all the Hollywood stuff.”
Duhamel and Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, were married from 2009 to 2019. They share a son, Axl Jack, who turned ten last month. While they ultimately didn’t work out romantically, Duhamel had nothing but great things to say about the “Fergalicious” singer. He says that the two now have a great relationship. He explained, “There wasn’t anything wrong with it. We had a great time. I think we kind of outgrew each other and had very different interests.” For example, Duhamel recalled he wanted to eventually move back to his home state when he got older, but knew it wouldn’t have been the right fit for Fergie. He added, “I’m very lucky that she’s a kind human.”
Since moving back to North Dakota, the Transformers actor said he gets to be “that kid that fell in love with nature” again, being active and creative. Now, Duhamel and his wife, model Audra Mari, are now expecting their first child together. The couple wed in 2022 after first being linked in 2019. They’re both from North Dakota. Commenting on the couple’s joint Instagram pregnancy announcement, Fergie commented: “I am truly happy for you guys. Axl can’t wait to be a big brother.”

Celebrity Breakups and Divorces of 2023
2023 has seen a lot of celebrity deaths — and deaths in love due to breakups. Some couples have called it quits after years of being together. New relationships formed that looked as though they were meant for each other.
We’ve all wished for some relationships to have stayed together, despite not knowing what goes on behind closed doors. Celebrities are a prime example of not knowing what they are like in real life versus the facade of a perfect relationship they put out there.
Sometimes, fans are more upset than the celebrities who are going through the breakup! When Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn called it quits after 5 years together and a rumored secret marriage, fans professed they gave up on love entirely. Others used the breakups as a way to bash celebrities. Ariana Grande’s divorce announcement to Dalton Gomez caused viral videos of her alleged years of cheating on partners. As for the couples who share children together, our hearts broke for the ones we thought were happily ever afters.
Take a look below at all the major celebrity relationships that have come to an end in 2023.
