WATCH: Meghan McCain Calls Joy Behar a ‘B****’ on Camera
The tension between Joy Behar and Meghan McCain exploded on camera on Wednesday’s episode of The View.
McCain and Behar have a long history of heated arguments on air on the daytime talk show, often getting into it over their differing political views.
On Wednesday’s episode, McCain began discussing President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign launch rally in Florida on Tuesday June 18.
“Sometimes it’s not that they love Trump so much, it’s that they hate the same things Trump hates,” McCain said of his fan base, to which Behar responded: “Who, black people, you mean, and immigrants? Who do they hate?”
From there, their argument turned pretty intense.
“I come here everyday open-minded, trying to explain it,” McCain said. “I know you’re angry, I get that you’re angry Trump’s president,” McCain continued. “But I don’t think yelling at me is going to fix the problem, OK? I just said that it was hard for me to watch Lindsey Graham, who I considered an uncle for a long time, OK? But I’m trying to explain why 2020 is not in the bag for you, it’s not.”
Behar began asking “Am I yelling at her,” just as co-host Whoopi Goldberg jumped in to diffuse the situation, telling “Everybody to take a beat.” But not before McCain said: “Don’t feel bad for me, b****. I get paid to do this.”
Co-host then Sunny Hostin jumped in to say the women should “Not start calling each other b******,” to which McCain said, “Oh, Joy and I call each other ‘b****’ all the time.”
