Ariana Grande Slammed For Saying Jeffrey Dahmer Is Her Dream ‘Dinner Guest’
Ariana Grande is in the hot seat after listing a very controversial answer for who her dream “dinner guest” would be.
In a recent interview on Penn Badgley’s podcast, Grande recalled telling a group of young kids during a Q&A that she was interested in sitting down with Jeffrey Dahmer.
“I was infatuated with serial killers when I was younger,” Grande said during her appearance. Long before Netflix’s very popular and controversial Dahmer series, Grande recalled being surrounded by a younger group of kids who were accompanied by their parents. The Grammy winner noted that this was at a time when she was on Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat and pursuing her pop career. In her best impression of a young child, Grande said, “‘If you could have dinner with anyone living or dead, who would it be?’”
“I was like, ‘Oh, you’re so cute,’” she went on, adding that she asked the parents if she was allowed to say her truthful answer. With the go-ahead, Grande recalled responding, “I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is pretty fascinating, I think I would have loved to have met him. You know, maybe with a third party or someone involved. But I have questions.”
Grande added that the parents’ response to their children after hearing her answer was: “We’ll explain it later, sweetheart.” Jokingly, Grande adds, “So, I’ll sing ‘Problem’ and go home.”

Grande Slammed By Dahmer Victim’s Family
After being made aware of the pop star’s comments, the family of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims slammed “sick” Grande for saying that the serial killer was her dream dinner guest. The surprising revelation shocked the loved ones of Tony Hughes, who was last seen in 1991.
“To me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind,” Hughes’ mother, Shirley, told gossip website TMZ. “It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to do dinner with him.” She adds that it was an inappropriate thing to say to children and finds it disturbing that Grande laughed at her confession. Shirley also told the gossip site that she hopes the “imperfect for you” singer, 31, will understand how insensitive her comments were.
Shirley’s sister, Barbara, told the gossip site that Grande’s comments glamorize Dahmer, who was killed in 1994, by his fellow prison inmate Christopher Scarver. Tony Hughes, who was deaf and could not speak, was picked up by Dahmer at a Milwaukee gay bar. Dahmer took him home, drugged him, dismembered his body, and kept his skull, according to the Associated Press.
