Fall Has Arrived And This Year It Is A Big Deal
Fall has arrived and this year it is a very big deal. I look forward to this season starting in the middle of August. Everyone starts getting in back-to-school mode and down here you can hardly have a conversation without mentioning football.
Of course, it’s still so hot that I usually go through two shirts when I have to do yard work. Often I have to drive home from work barely touching the steering wheel because the inside temperature reads 108 for about 10 minutes. However, when I get home from work and I’m enjoying a cocktail outside while playing with my dog Zoe pecans start falling from our neighbor’s giant tree. The squirrels start becoming more active and before you know it five or six leaves start falling every couple of hours. Most importantly though, Starbucks always launches the Pumpkin Spiced Latte.
Ah yes, the Pumpkin-Spiced Latte. I know non-coffee drinkers who wait for this specific season to actually drink “coffee” in the form of the PSL. They love it so much and if that’s what brings them joy as the leaves change colors and the days get cooler then take it all in. The popular drink isn’t really for me only because by the time it gets cool enough here everything is slowly being transitioned to Christmas mode. At that point, I just wait and enjoy their Peppermint Mocha.
A fun thing to note about the Pumpkin-Spiced Latte is that it turned 20 this year! Starbucks first started selling the drink in October of 2003. Now it feels like fans are ready for it after the Fourth of July.
Ugg boots becoming trendy turns 20 years old as well and now both are the official signs of fall! Fall has arrived and this year it is a very big deal.
