Final Home Weekend For The Greenjackets

It’s the final home weekend of the season for the Augusta Greenjackets.

They’re looking to pack SRP Park over the weekend in the hopes of setting a per game attendance record for SRP.  The weather should be spectacular and there is a lot going on for the BEE-A-FAN weekend.

Augusta Greenjackets Final Home Weekend:

Friday:

  • Team Autograph Session
  • Meet the Braves of tomorrow and get autographs from 5:45-6:15pm
  • Craft beer at the Keg Stand
  • Half price drafts at the Keg Stand from 6-8pm
  • Comfort Keepers Baseball Bingo
  • Heath Fair on the concourse presented by Senior Resource Services, Comfort Keepers and Augusta Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy
  • Fans get a punch card and can enter to win a grand prize

 Saturday: 

  • Bark in the Park
  • Pre-game White Claw concert featuring Lizzy Wilson from 4:30-5:30pm
  • Dog Days of Summer – Special Bark in the Park with the first 500 dog fans receiving a college themed water bowl.  Register your dog before coming to the game here.
  • State Farm Family Saturday presented by Anthony & London Thuan
  • 1-2 Greenjackets players autographs from 4:45-5pm
  • Post game BEE-A-FAN Appreciation Kids Run the bases

 Sunday:

  • BEE-A-FAN Appreciation Night
  • Booming Fireworks presented by MCG
  • Fans can enter to win great prizes all night long
  • Bring canned food items to be donated to Golden harvest and get extra chances to win
  • Giveaways include jerseys, merchandise, bobbleheads, two(2) Guitar Pull tickets.  A Rec-Tec Bullseye and more
  • White Claw Pre-Game concert featuring Josh Hilley – Luau Theme from 4:30-5:30pm

GALLERY: A Great Day To Bee An Augusta GreenJackets Fan

The Augusta GreenJackets just finished up their 6 game homestand at SRP Park against the Delmarva Shorebirds.  They finished the series with 5 out of 6 wins! Sunday afternoon’s game got a bit tense towards the end, but ended in victory for our GreenJackets.

Early on, the score was tied at 1 to 1.  The GreenJackets were able to make some really great plays, putting them in the lead with 7 to 1.  In the top of the ninth, things were heating up, with Delmarva coming back and scoring 4 more runs, tightening the gap.  Thankfully, even with bases loaded, the pitcher was able to finally get that third strike to put the Delmarva Shorebirds out and clench the win!

Despite some clouds, and a few minutes of rain, it was a great day out at SRP Park!  They had a wizard theme, with some fun trivia for the fans. Along with Auggie dressed in a wizard cape.  It was also Bark In The Park! We spotted quite a few pups who braved the heat to enjoy America’s favorite past time!  If you haven’t had a chance to check out our Augusta GreenJackets this season, definitely add it to your list! Their next homestand kicks off next Tuesday, May 10th against the Columbia Fireflies.  And Tuesday is also Pirate Night… ARGH!
