Courteney Cox Transforms Into A ‘Gen Z Girl’: ‘Am I Slaying This Right?’
Courteney Cox is proving that age is just a mindset. In a hilarious and cute video she posted on Instagram yesterday (February 22), she sits on her couch, scrolling through photos of “these Gen Z girls.” She adds that they are “so cute. I wanna do that.”
Cue in Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” track playing in the background. Cox, 58, shows herself transforming with a montage of close-ups of her face. Cox applies a cat-eye, eyeshadow, lipstick, contour, and highlight to achieve the typical Gen Z go-to makeup look. Next up was her hair, which she fixed in stylish bubble pigtails and straightened some face-framing pieces.
After going through her closet, she eventually stepped out in the final look — which was doggy-approved. She set on baggy light-washed jeans and a funky white crop top that showed off her bare, chiseled abs under an oversized blue tie-dye zip-up sweater. Whipping out her phone from her pocket, Cox began to take selfies. She threw the peace sign and stuck her tongue out — completely nailing the assignment.
She was soon shocked out of taking pictures when she heard, “What?” and hastily ran away as she exclaimed, “Oh s—, he’s home,” seemingly referring to boyfriend Johnny McDaid. Cox jokingly captioned the post: “Am I slaying this right?”
The Friends alum is no stranger to hopping on the latest trends and making funny lighthearted videos. Earlier this month, Cox and McDaid recreated the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing. In the video, the actress asked her musician beau if they could mimic the end-scene moment between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.
The couple then attempted to do it in their backyard with Cox being hilariously transported up by two individuals — Ed Sheeran and director Jason Koenig — as “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes plays. She and McDaid stare into each other’s eyes and they run toward one another.
However, instead of Cox taking the leap of faith into McDaid’s arms, the funny video saw him attempting to jump into Cox’s as she moved out of the way. The clip then cut to an ambulance driving with its lights flashing and siren blaring. “It’s ok we’re professionals,” Cox captioned the post.
