If you’re used to working in an office (out of the home), it’s important to designate a space away and separate from the places you relax in your home. Personally, I’ve always lived in spaces with small square footage, so a big desk would never really work for me. Had I known about floating desks, I surely could have finessed it!

As you can see, the intention is to take up less space in the home, while also giving you the ability to switch from standing to sitting throughout the day which is recommended when sitting for long periods of time.

The price of a floating desk varies but there are certainly reasonable ones out there. Oh, and according to the internet, they are fairly easy to DIY if you’re into that sort of thing!
