Justin Bieber Reveals He Has Lyme Disease In New Documentary – REPORT
Justin Bieber’s new YouTube docuseries, Seasons, will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the pop star’s life. TMZ reports that the documentary will reveal that Bieber is battling Lyme disease.
In the documentary, which premieres Jan. 27, Bieber will reportedly set the record straight on rumors that he was battling depression last year. According to those who have seen the doc, Bieber reveals that his struggles with depression were connected to undiagnosed Lyme disease.
Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness that causes fatigue and flu-like symptoms. While it’s unclear when or how Bieber contracted the disease, doctors reportedly struggled last year to figure out what was wrong with Bieber. This led him to feel depressed.
TMZ also reported that the reason Bieber held off on releasing new music until this year was because he wanted to make sure he was healthy. Luckily, Bieber has reportedly gotten his Lyme disease under control.
Bieber confirmed as much in a new Instagram post. “It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP,” he wrote.
Bieber’s first album in five years is slated for release later this year.
