Report: Actor Luke Perry Suffers ‘Massive Stroke’
Riverdale star Luke Perry has reportedly suffered a “massive stroke” and is currently in the hospital, according to multiple reports.
Paramedics were reportedly called to Perry’s California home Wednesday morning. As of Thursday, he remains hospitalized, although the status of his condition is unclear.
“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital,” Perry’s rep confirmed to People Magazine.
The 52-year-old actor has been shooting scenes for his role of Fred Andrews on Riverdale, which he has starred in since 2016.
The news of his stroke broke on the same day FOX announced their reboot of 90210, the show which made him a star. Perry, who played Dylan McKay on the show, has not signed on for the reboot, which will feature much of the original cast including Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley and Tori Spelling.
Perry is a father of two children with ex-wife Minnie Sharp.
The actor’s friends and colleagues paid tribute to him on social media Thursday after the news broke.
