Did you know that Augusta has several places to get natural spring water? A few of them have gone under the radar, some are nameless, and others are like “If you know you know.”

We’ve got a few springs that you can get water from listed below, but first, this is how you collect it.

How to Collect Spring Water
When going to a spring to get water, take a jug or something large enough to get you a fair share of water. Try to get as close as you can to the pipe that is letting out the water, never get your water from downstream. According to Findaspring.com, once you have gotten your spring water it is best to store it in glass instead of plastic to preserve the purity of the water.

Here are those 3 spots you can get natural spring water in Augusta.

  • Windsor Spring

For many locals, you’ve probably driven Windsor Spring Rd. a fair amount of times – but had no clue there was a spring nearby.  The road gets its name from this natural spring located in Augusta, Georgia. The spring is open to the public 24/7 and free. It is located in the woods off of Windsor Spring Road and (full disclaimer) it can be difficult to find. For more info, click here.

  • Flowing Wells Spring/ Wrightsboro Rd Spring

If you’ve been to the Augusta Mall, you’ve probably seen a few cars lined up here and weren’t quite sure what they were doing.
