About Charlie Puth:
Charles Otto Puth Jr. is originally from Rumson, New Jersey. His mother was a music teacher and his father was a builder and real estate agent. It seems his mother played a huge role in his introduction to various genres of music. And, he also attended Berklee on a full scholarship. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in music production and engineering.
However, Puth began his rise to fame on YouTube. He posted many original songs and covers on his channel. After being discovered, he performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As a result, this led to Puth signing with a record label. This was just the beginning of his official career. Over the years, he has written and produced songs for many other artists, before his solo career took off.
His Career:
His debut album was released in 2016 by Atlantic Records. It soon made its way to number 6 on the Billboard 200.
Puth is known for many great songs you know and love. For example, his debut single “Marvin Gaye” which featured Meghan Trainor. In addition, he wrote, co-produced, and sang on Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.” This single had major impact. It was also included in the ‘Furious 7’ soundtrack, and pays tribute to actor Paul Walker.
Charlie Puth has been nominated and has also won various awards throughout his career. This includes Teen Choice Awards, Grammy Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.
