Piedmont Augusta Medical Center just rolled out a heart screening program to raise awareness for women. Doctors will perform these screenings at their Wrightsboro Road location. Heart disease and stroke take the lives of one in three women in Georgia.
“We’re just trying to identify risk factors early so that people can be treated early in a stage of prevention before an event occurs,” said Victoria Burt, nurse practitioner, told WRDW.
The center does more than just testing. Women get practical advice about eating habits, stress management, and exercise routines that fit their everyday lives.
Booking a screening is easy — just hop online to make an appointment or call 706-724-4400 to learn more.
