The website Read This Twice compiled a list of the top 100 most recommended books by celebrities and thought leaders. They looked through social media and checked out interviews to see which books were talked about most.

The book recommendations are from people like Oprah, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jimmy Fallon, Mark Cuban, Warren Buffett, Dave Ramsey, and more! Looking through the list, I’ve heard of many of the books. Many of the books are personal development and/or business-related.  Out of all 100, I’ve read 8 (well, technically 6 all the way through)! You can see the full 100 most recommended books by celebs HERE! And see my top 5 favorite personal development books (so far this year).

We’ll start with the books I’ve read… then I’ll share a few from the list that I’ve heard of, but haven’t read yet!

  • Books From The List I Have Read

  • 'How To Win Friends & Influence People' by Dale Carnegie

While this one was first published in 1936, it has SO many great tips to help you work with people and live a successful life. The principles can apply to almost every life situation. It’s been a while since I read this one, but definitely one I will most likely go back to… once I’m done with the other books on my list!

This book was recommended by Warren Buffet, Dave Ramsey, Barbara Corcoran, and more.

  • 'The Power of Habit' by Charles Duhigg

This one breaks down why habits exist… and how we can change them! By changing our habits, we can change our lives! If you want to kick the bad habits and create new ones, this is a great book!

Recommended by Tim Ferriss and others.

  • 'Think And Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill

This one was first published in 1937.  I’ve heard SO many people recommend this book.  For some reason, it was really hard for me to get through.  Not sure why.  But there are people who swear this book is life changing!

It’s recommended by Rob Dyrdek, Tom Bilyeu, and more.

  • 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' by Stephen R. Covey

It’s been a while since I’ve read this one, but it’s a great book!  The book is pretty eye opening when you take a look at your own habits.  A lot of simple things you can do to get your life headed in the right direction!

  • 'The Subtle Art...' by Mark Manson

I really liked this one! It’s a great personal development book for people who aren’t really into personal development.  It takes a different approach to the “think positive thoughts” mentality. If you don’t mind strong language, this is a good read!

  • 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle

As someone who deals with anxiety and depression, this book was eye opening.  So often, I’m not living in the present moment.  There are some “woo-woo” ideas in the book that I didn’t quite agree with or fully understand, but the basic message is: living in the now is the path to happiness.

It’s been recommended by Oprah and Carlos Santana.

  • 'The 4-Hour Workweek' by Timothy Ferriss

I have to be honest… I never finished reading this one.  Something else came along and took my focus.  I will get back to it though… eventually!  For someone looking to escape the 9-5 grind, this is a good read.

  • 'Mindset - The New Psychology of Success' by Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D.

Our minds are powerful, and can be used for good or bad.  This book shows how our mindset can lead to more success and fulfill our potential.

I’ll admit, this is another one I didn’t finish.  It’s pretty deep and fully of clinical type research.  It’s good, but I wasn’t ready for that when I picked it up.  I plan to finish it at some point!  A little at a time!

It was recommended by Bill Gates, Tom Bilyeu, and more.

  • Books I'd Heard Of, But Haven't Read

  • 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho

Recommended by Big Sean, Pharrell Williams, Will Smith, Brene Brown, and more.

  • 'The Four Agreements' by Don Miguel Ruiz

Recommended by Ellen DeGeneres, Wiz Khalifa, Joe Rogan, and more.

  • 'Shoe Dog' by Phil Knight

Recommended by Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and more.

  • 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear

Honestly didn’t see any names I recognized on the list of those who recommended this one!

  • 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' by Robert T. Kiyosaki

Recommended by Will Smith, Dave Ramsey, and more.
