If you weren’t able to catch the show, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a roundup of celebrities who stole the show. From star-studded fashion to unforgettable speeches, it’s a night of surprise wins and heartwarming moments.
2025 Golden Globes Highlights
Here are some highlights of what happened when Hollywood’s rich, famous and talented people celebrated one another in grand style.
Demi Moore’s Speech
It might sound surprising but winning the Golden Globes for Best Actress – Comedy or Musical for The Substance is Demi Moore’s first award despite being an actress since 1981 and starring in countless blockbuster movies. She said, during her inspiring speech, “I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor and I’m just so humbled and so grateful.” She also recalled being called a “popcorn actress” by a producer 30 years ago. “At that time, I [thought] that meant that this wasn’t something that I was allowed to have.”
She concluded, “I’ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting. In those moments, when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough: I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick,” per CNN.
“Hey, Dwayne”
At last, the beef between these beefy dudes, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson is not furious anymore. During the Golden Globes, Diesel said “Hey, Dwayne” while on stage showing everyone once and for all that they had finally put their issues to rest. It was reported that Johnson will once again reprise his role as Hobbs in the Fast and Furious franchise (yes, that’s still ongoing) per Entertainment Weekly.
Sofia Vergara Heckling Jodie Foster
Don’t worry! It’s all in jest! Sofia Vergara jokingly called out Jodie Foster, who won their category for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television. It was Foster’s fourth Golden Globe win, which prompted Vergara to shout, “No, no! Give me one!” especially since it was Vergara’s fifth nomination without a win. Foster acknowledged Vergara’s good-natured ribbing and even told her, “The greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you, Sofia,” per People.
Jessica Gunning Tripping
Jessica Gunning, who starred in the television series Baby Reindeer as the obsessive stalker Martha, won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television. Aside from her win, her quip when she almost tripped stole the spotlight from her award. Gunning nearly had a wardrobe malfunction and as soon as she reached the stage to receive her award told the audience, “Wow, hello, I almost tripped up. You nearly saw my Golden Globes then,” according to E! News.
