Brush in With the Law
In her interview with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rodrigo shared an incident with border control reentering the US from Canada.
âI come out, itâs 3 a.m. and Iâm delirious, and they take me to a room â and itâs an interrogation room. And heâs like, âHave you ever been arrested?â Iâm like, âNo, I havenât been arrested.â And he’s like, âAre you sure?ââ By this time, Rodrigo starts panicking and second-guessing herself.
After 30 minutes of interrogation, border control asked for her name. âAnd I go âOlivia Rodrigo. R-O-D-R-I-G-O’ and âHeâs like, âOh, thereâs a girl who looks just like you, that’s your same age, that’s been arrested multiple times, and her name is Olivia Rodriguez.’â

Olivia Rodrigo Fell Off the Stage

I mean the show must go on, thatâs showbiz baby.â Talk about being a professional!Â
Proud of Her Heritage
According to CNN, Rodrigo considered falling off the stage in her Melbourne concert âactually kind of a beautiful thing.â Before going to Australia, Rodrigo did a one-day show in the Philippine Arena, the worldâs largest indoor arena, as part of the Asian leg of the tour. âI was thinking about my family and my heritage, and my relatives and I fell, and I was like all shaken up. I went to the hospital after. Nothing happened but they just wanted to make sure I didnât have a concussion.â
The male nurse who looked after her while in the hospital was Filipino and, according to the Grammy-award-winning singer, shared the same name as her grandfather, who recently passed away. âSo I was like wow that was [her grandfather] looking out for me. Making sure I didnât get hurt and so Iâm really happy it happened. I think itâs a beautiful story.âÂ
