Hugh Jackman is sharing great news on social media after dodging a recent skin cancer scare. Jackman, 54, shared his latest health update via Instagram Stories Wednesday (April 5) after undergoing two biopsies to find out whether he has basal cell carcinoma.

Earlier this week, the Logan actor posted a video with a bandage over his nose, noting his recent biopsies. Jackman said his doctor saw “little things, could be or could not be basal cell, in her opinion. She doesn’t know.” The actor reassured his 31 million followers that basal cell is the “least dangerous” of all the types of skin cancers out there. He reminded us that summer is coming and to “please wear sunscreen,” both in the video and in his caption. He adds, “It is just not worth it. No matter how much you want a tan, trust me, trust me, trust me.”

Jackman has been treated for skin cancer at least six times in the past, due to “stuff that happened 25 years ago, and it’s coming out now.” Back in 2016, the Aussie shared a photo of his bandaged nose on Instagram. He wrote in the caption: “An example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless. PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups.”

While appearing on LIVE! With Kelly the following year, Hugh said, “So here’s the thing. One sunburn, you’re susceptible to cancer. One. And all of this is 25, 30 years after, the doctor told me,” he added. “Our rule, as kids, growing up, was you get burned and peel two or three times, then you’re set.”

On yesterday's Story, Hugh wrote: "MY BIOPSIES CAME BACK. NEGATIVE!!! Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for getting this very important message out." He didn't fail to reiterate his very important message to stress the importance of sunscreen. "PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR SUNSCREEN WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SPF (NO MATTER THE SEASON)."

The Sexiest Men Alive From The Last 20 Years

Take a stroll through the last 20 years of People's Sexiest Men Alive. This year, the award went to Grey's Anatomy's neurosurgeon Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd. The long-awaited title is something we look forward to every year, and this year's choice has been worth the wait. The actor has never been given the title before, and with nearly 20 years of being television eye candy, the actor told the publication when he first heard the news, “I was completely shocked, and then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right?” As for how his kids will respond, the Maine native insists they’re just going to make fun of him.

Humble Beginnings

Growing up in Maine, he recalled always having to be moving, so he took up a lot of sports like baseball, soccer, skiing, cycling." The Ferrari actor had dyslexia, so he didn't love school, and described himself as a "late bloomer." In his youth, Dempsey joined a vaudeville troupe and rode a unicycle while juggling.

Now, the key is maturity and wisdom for the Can't Buy Me Love alum. "You go through cycles of life, so you understand there are going to be high and low moments and what are the most important things. Everything else is a gift.” Despite his heartthrob status over the years, “I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” he says of his new title.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and People magazine has their own taste. See the Sexiest Men Alive from the last 20 years below:
