Lady Gaga has ended her engagement to fiance Christian Carino, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE Tuesday.
Lady Gaga, 32, and Christian Carino "just didn't work out," a source told PEOPLE magazine.
"Relationships sometimes end,” the source said. “There’s no long dramatic story.”
As we previously reported, the rumor mill began churning a few weeks ago when Gaga attended the GRAMMYs without Carino. Almost immediately, fans began looking to Carino to confirm that everything was ok with their engagement.
A more telling sign was Gaga's post on Valentine's day, where she shared a photo of her tattoo instead of mentioning Carino.
"Happy Valentine’s Day," she wrote. "A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose."
Carino, who is Gaga's CAA agent, began dating the A Star Is Born actress in early 2017, shortly after her split from actor Taylor Kinney. The couple later got engaged in the summer of that year. Since then, he's been a staple on the awards show scene with her, which was why his absence at the GRAMMYs set off alarms for fans.
