Dwayne Johnson Blasted For Nasty Unprofessional Behavior
It may not rock to work with “The Rock.” Reports that Dwayne Johnson is a nightmare on set have surfaced recently. According to The Wrap, the Fast X star is being blasted for nasty, unprofessional behavior in an upcoming film.
Johnson’s holiday film set to release this November, titled Red One, has him starring alongside Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu. While the film wrapped principal photography in February, reports about the action star’s shocking behavior have started circulating.
According to the report published Tuesday (April 30), Johnson, 51, is costing production a ton of money by being late to set every day. He has apparently shown up to set up to eight hours late or not showing up at all, forcing the production team to shoot around his schedule. Between the lateness and lack of experience from producers, the cost of the upcoming action movie has gone $250 million over budget. One source bluntly stated: “Dwayne truly doesn’t give a f—.”
Dwayne Johnson Blasted For Being Nasty
The Walking Tall alum had a reputation for being hard-working and lovable, so these reports of unprofessional lateness are shocking. However, what the publication reports next is a bit gross. He apparently has a habit of peeing in those glass Voss water bottles on set in previous films. An insider who knows the actor well said: “On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom.” Instead, he will pee in the bottle and have “his team or a PA dispose of it.”
He even admitted to Esquire in 2021 that because he needs to go to the bathroom a couple of times during every workout, “I have to go to the bathroom. So I break out the bottle.”
He hasn’t publicly responded to the allegations on movie sets but did seem to address other allegations The Wrap claimed in their article. The publication also claimed he was three hours late to WrestleMania 40 last month, which he clapped back against by posting a photo album on social media.
WWE also released a statement saying he arrived hours early before the event to help with rehearsals and was a “pleasure” to work with throughout his entire run.
According to The Wrap, though, one source said, “The only thing Dwayne was consistent at was being chronically late.” As for publicly-known feuds involving Johnson, he and Vin Diesel had a blowout over issues on the Fast & Furious set. Per People, an insider said Diesel was fed up that Johnson was showing up late and “Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all, and he’s delaying the production.”
