I’ve put together a list of my favorite Fourth of July movies.  These will be fun to watch over the long Independence Day weekend.  It’s also going to be super hot.  I recommend throwing in a movie or two to take breaks from the heat.  Side note, don’t forget to watch “Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.”  Here are some movies I consider Fourth of July favorites.

  • Jaws

Summer and Jaws just go together anyway.  I love watching this movie this time of year.

  • Independence Day

We get to watch Will Smith defend Earth on Independence Day.

  • The Sandlot

It’s one of my favorite baseball movies and there’s a fun 4th of July scene in it.

  • I Know What You Did Last Summer

There are only a couple of horror I like to watch outside of spooky season and this is one of them.  Teens get terrorized by a fisherman who has a hook for a hand during their summer vacation.  There’s a dramatic 4th of July scene in this one too.

If you want to stay out of the heat and want some entertainment, these are some of my favorite Fourth of July movies.
