Rock stars and bad behavior seem to go hand-in-hand. Case in point: Country music star Morgan Wallen has gotten himself into trouble again. “The Bad Boy of Country Music” seems to continue to make sure that moniker sticks. His latest antics? He allegedly threw a chair off the roof of a 6-story Nashville bar. He was arrested with 3 felony counts, luckily one of those isn’t manslaughter as the chair didn’t hit anyone.

This latest stunt comes 3 years after being filmed using a racial slur and 4 years after getting kicked out of Kid Rock’s restaurant. You’d have to be doing something pretty bad to get kicked out of a place called “Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock n Roll Steakhouse.” Kicking glass items and picking fights did the trick.

One might wonder how this guy still has fans. For some, it’s easy to forget that this isn’t the first time an artist had a habit of misbehaving. In fact, it almost seems that the more talented the musician, the worse their antics.

Some episodes of ‘rock stars being rock stars’ are worse than others. Some are still serving time for their escapades. Some have even committed murder. I think we can file those under “criminals that happen to be musicians.” But, that’s another post for another day.

Today, I want to remember some of music’s bad boys & girls, rock stars doing rock star things. These are things that seem shameful in the moment, but, years from now, we’ll look back, shrug our shoulders and say “wow, that was pretty crazy, eh? Rock stars SMH.” Kind of like throwing a chair off of a rooftop in downtown Nashville.

  • Axl Rose Is A Rock N Roll Bad Boy

Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose is one of the most notorious rock n roll bad boys. His chronic tardiness meant that GnR concerts almost never started on time and it even almost cost the band it’s first recording contract. His eccentric behavior included, but was not limited to, biting a security guard in the leg, shooting a moth with a shotgun, inciting riots at multiple concerts, punching cops at a show and more. WAY more.

  • I Miss The Old Kanye, That "Use Your Whole Name Kanye"

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is known for his troubles almost just as much for his musical accomplishments. The guy, musically, is a genius. But, his behavior casts a pretty big shadow. Everyone knows the ‘stealing the mic from Taylor Swift’ story. He has since mostly caused a stir through bizarre twitter rants, turning concerts into lengthy tirades before walking off stage early and most recently making anti-Semitic remarks.

  • Merle Haggard's Rap Sheet Was Legendary

Country legend Merle Haggard was a repeat offender. He stole cars, robbed gas stations and attempted to rob a restaurant. This resulted in many incarcerations, all before he even started his music career. In fact, Merle was in the audience during Johnny Cash’s famous San Quentin concert.

  • Jim Morrison Was The Original Rock N Roll Bad Boy

The Doors frontman Jim Morrison took rock n roll bad boyism to new heights, getting arrested twice before the band even took off. He was also arrested for inciting a riot at a concert, exposing himself to a concert audience, and for apparently messing with the flight of an aircraft. This guy partied so hard that the band hired professional drinkers to hang out with him to keep him out of trouble, but they couldn’t keep up!
