Fast-food is a big part of many people's lives.  While some may grab fast-food multiple times a week, others may only have it a couple of times a month.  Either way, it's convenient when you're on the go and need something quick.   And this new study found the most popular fast-food restaurant in South Carolina. It may not be what you think!

The study was conducted by price-tracking experts at Pricelisto.  They looked at Google US data and determined the most popular fast-food restaurants based on search interest and popularity over a 12-month period.

A spokesperson for Pricelisto points out that fast-food has become a staple for many Americans on a daily basis.  In fact, they found over a quarter of American adults eat fast-food daily! And the quick-service restaurant industry is booming.  It's worth over $250 billion in America.

Based on all the results Pricelisto compiled, the top three restaurants in South Carolina are:

3. Burger King

Burger King ranked at number 3 on this list.  They are in over 100 countries, and have over 7,000 restaurants across the United States. It's among one of the most readily available fast-food choices, which may be why it's considered one of the most popular.

2. Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A ranks number 2 on the list.  The restaurant originated in Georgia, and has over 2,700 locations. They have state-wide recognition and are among one of the most Googled and popular fast-food restaurants in South Carolina.

1. Hardees

Hardees coming in at number one was a bit of a surprise to us.  They've been around for over 60 years and they pride themselves on their Made From Scratch Biscuits and Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders. Hardees has over 1,800 restaurants across the U.S.
