I'll be honest, I hadn't even heard about the TikTok Coat Hanger Challenge.  I've actually spent a lot LESS time on TikTok, which may have something to do with it.  Upon doing a search, I realized this is actually an older challenge.  I saw a bunch of videos from 2020. Maybe with the pandemic and being quarantined, someone got the crazy idea to put a coat hanger on their head?  And then encouraged a lot of others to make themselves look silly by doing the same!!

But our sister station's morning show, the Kicks Wake Up Krew, decided to try it out.  They asked me to video for them.  So, of course, I was intrigued-- because it worked for one of them, and not the other! Becky, our Digital Sales Manager, and I had to try it out after watching them!  Here's our result:

Still haven't quite figured out why it works for some, and not others... and why it worked on one side for me!  Check out some other TikTok Coat Hanger Challenge videos below!

@toshinmac

This guy didn't even close his eyes... so that's strange!

@missmindy91

She wasn't convinced closing her eyes would change things.

@goat.whisperer

A little duet action!

@newhorizontwins

And then you have this guy... making fun of the challenge!  Haha.

@vice

And then this explanation. Who knew there was a "hanger reflex"?
